Clamper’s Corner

This page will show a list and place location for as many E Clampus Vitus plaque’s that we can find. Clampers have been around as early as the 1700’s, and are a dedicated group of citizen historians, who actively seek out locations that are worthy of a historical dedication. But Wikipedia describes us as:

The Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus (ECV) is a fraternal organization dedicated to the study and preservation of the heritage of the American West, especially the history of the Mother Lode and gold mining regions of the area. The fraternity is not sure if it is a “historical drinking society” or a “drinking historical society.”

They raise the funds for a monument and brass plaque, then place it at or near the historical spot. I am a VERY proud member of this organization, and I hope you come to like them as well..
